Part 2 of my Blog Features for this month is Fictitious Delicious and the blogger Jen Strand Photobehind it, Jen Strand. I'm a little behind, because the flu has over taken my house – don't worry, you can't catch it through a blog post. I checked. Wrong kind of virus.

Jen is someone I know IRL (that's "in real life" for those not down with the hip slang of todays youth) We have tried to remember HOW exactly it is we met, but neither one of us can pin point it. All we know for sure is that Twilight had something to do with it, and likely alcohol based on the memory loss….

So next time we take tea with Stephanie Meyer, (she has tea, we have beer…) which we often do, (have beer, with or with our Stephanie Meyer) we are going to be sure to thank her for her amazing friendship making abilities!

PS: Don't you just love this picture of Jen? She looks like someone…who is it though.. *wink*

Tell the nice people who you are

Hi, everyone! I’m Jen and I matriculate a lot. I also run a sweet, little blog called Fictitious Delicious where I post reviews and general nonsense pertaining to Young Adult and New Adult books. You can also find me hanging out at the mostly quiet for now fansite for the Shade series called Kilt & Keeley. I raise three children with my awfully understanding husband in my spare time.

How long have you been blogging?
Since May of 2011, or about 30,680.3 hours

Where can all these nice people find you?

Fantastic Fours

4 Things we can find you doing when you’re not blogging/reading:

1. Selling software. I gotta pay for these books somehow.

2. Watching Supernatural. I started watching this series earlier this year and am currently finishing up Season Six. I’m a Dean girl. More specifically, I’m a Destiel girl.

3. Trying to build the perfect playlist on Spotify. I’m building the perfect combination of Muse, The 1975, Martin Sexton, Dr. Dre, Pitbull, The Twilight Sad, Walk the Moon, Duran Duran, Britney Spears, Pantera and One Direction.

4. Going to a concert. I’m lucky enough to live in a city that is home to some of the best music venues out there. I love going down to First Avenue or the Varsity Theater and catching a local or national act in an intimate setting. Minus the candlelight. I’ve also been known to travel around the country following various UK bands around their US tours.

4 Things you will not leave home without:

1. I’d say my wallet, but several people will be able to attest to the fact that I often leave home without my wallet. So…car keys? (I know that’s boring. Sorry.)

2. Pants. Except for that one time in college, I always put on pants before I leave home. You’re welcome.

3. My phone. I don’t care if I realize I forgot my phone 99 miles into a 100 mile trip—I’m turning the car around and getting my phone.

4. AMC Stubs Reward card. Guys. AMC has the best reward program out there and you never know when the urge to go to a movie will hit. I’m always prepared for my free popcorn upgrade.

4 Wishes you would make if you found the only genie in the world that provided 4 wishes instead of 3.

1. I would bestow empathy on every individual on this planet.

2. I would make all of my blog posts on Facebook visible to every person who likes my page.

3. I’d wish for Louis Tomlinson to stop by our house and have tea with my daughter.

4. I’d wish for the current Axl Rose to look like he did in 1987.

4 Book boys you would let fight over you:

Let’s be clear. I don’t want these boys to fight over me. I want them to share me. :)

1. Zachary Moore. My number one book boyfriend of all time. (Shade series by Jeri Smith-Ready)

2. Dean Holder. (Hopeless series by Colleen Hoover)

3. Adam Wilde (If I Stay series by Gayle Forman)

4. Etienne St. Clair (Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins)

Books you want the world to know are out there, and they NEED to read.

1. Any book by Jeri Smith-Ready. I am baffled by the fact that Smith-Ready isn’t an international bestseller every day of the week. Most certainly the most underrated author of the century. People! Go pick up SHADE and then send me a thank you card.

2. Every Ugly Word by Aimee Salter. As far as I’m concerned, this should be required reading for every high school student in America. A story centered on bullying that blew me away with its amazingness.

3. Nantucket series by Leila Howland. Something about this YA contemporary series latched on to my soul and still haunts me. I’m a huge fan of Cricket Thompson, our heroine.

4. Split by Swati Avasthi. I had no idea what to expect when I picked up this book and ended up devouring it in one sitting. Beautiful and heart-wrenching story of a victim of abuse in a boy POV.

Totally random facts about yourself.

1. My thumbs are double-jointed on Tuesdays. (OK, fine. They’re double jointed every day, but wouldn’t that be really weird to be double-jointed just on certain days?)

2. I have avoided avocado my entire life because I’m afraid that I’ll love them and want to eat them all the time. Yes, I know how stupid that sounds. So what.

3. I married a boy who was raised by wolves. JUST KIDDING. I always tell people that so that it doesn’t sound so weird when I tell them that I married a boy who has never eaten meat, not even a teensy bite, in his entire life. He eats a lot of avocado.

4. Fans of MMSAI probably won’t find the fact that I have book related tattoos weird, but plenty of people who are not book nerds in my life find it odd. I have tattoos that were inspired by the Shade series by Jeri Smith-Ready and the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward.

Giveaway

In honor of Jen, and our wonderful friendship that is based off of mutual love for the 3 B's = Books, Beer and Beats (music) I'm giving away a box set of the first season of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's HITRECORD on TV! Since he has his own books, this series is has a lot of music in it and I'm sure he's consumed beer at some point in his life, based on my convoluted theory, it's the perfect prize for today's stop.
