Kami Glass loves someone she’s never met . . . a boy she’s talked to in her head ever since she was born. She wasn’t silent about her imaginary friend during her childhood, and is thus a bit of an outsider in her sleepy English town of Sorry-in-the-Vale. Still, Kami hasn’t suffered too much from not fitting in. She has a best friend, runs the school newspaper, and is only occasionally caught talking to herself. Her life is in order, just the way she likes it, despite the voice in her head.
But all that changes when the Lynburns return.
The Lynburn family has owned the spectacular and sinister manor that overlooks Sorry-in-the-Vale for centuries. The mysterious twin sisters who abandoned their ancestral home a generation ago are back, along with their teenage sons, Jared and Ash, one of whom is eerily familiar to Kami. Kami is not one to shy away from the unknown—in fact, she’s determined to find answers for all the questions Sorry-in-the-Vale is suddenly posing. Who is responsible for the bloody deeds in the depths of the woods? What is her own mother hiding? And now that her imaginary friend has become a real boy, does she still love him? Does she hate him? Can she trust him?

"Read it. Just read it. Please read it. READ IT NOW! Suffer with me, please!" – Leah Clifford

For days on end all Leah could talk about to me was this series. How she was rereading it, waiting the release of book 3, UNMADE on September 23rd. She begged and demanded. She spoke about it non-stop. So I caved, I picked up my Kobo and dove in staying up until all hours of the night absorbing every page.

What grabbed me first was the witty, sarcastic banter that is Kami Glass. She was addictive, her cunning remarks and her gunslinger like speed at which she delivered them. I wanted to be her friend, I wanted to be part of her team of reporters.

Then in saunters Jared. Bigger than life and with "kicked-puppy" written all over him. You can't help but want to be near him, and for me, to fix him.

This book has a little bit of everything that I love. Mystery, tortured love story, blood, paranormal tendencies, sarcasm. If this recipe made cookies, I wouldn't share them with any one, I would horde them and tell you all to piss off and find your own. But since this recipe makes up a fantastically outstanding book, I want you all to read it. READ IT NOW! DO not make me call you and demand and beg, because I got a fair amount of training from Leah in the past few weeks and will wear you down!

My favorite lines from the book:

- "Buns of corrugated tin" (I want this as a t-shirt…for reals)

- "My current verdict would be: Crazy eyes. Nice Ass." I think I want that on my tombstone…"

- “The Lynburns built this town on their blood and bones."
"That was their first mistake," Jared said. "They should've built a city on rock and roll.”

I am sure there are 400 more, but I was reading so fast that I didn't remember to stop and highlight.
