We are really excited to be on the Zest Summer Blogging Tour, and even more excited about Sticky Fingers: DIY Duct Tape Projects. Plus is has a kick butt tag line – Easy To Pick Up Hard To Put Down! (right!?)

Publisher: Zest Books
Release Date: July 1st 2014
Non-Fiction/Arts & Crafts
ISBN: 9781936976577

"Sticky Fingers" is a vibrant, easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide to creating amazing projects with the hottest crafting material on the market today duct tape! The book includes tons of photographs alongside directions designed to make creating a wallet and making a bag even easier, while also providing a steady stream of ideas for personalizing and embellishing your duct tape creations. Each project includes icons showing difficulty level and project time, as well as helpful hints, such as how to keep your scissors clean and what to do with end pieces. So grab a roll of duct tape, pick a project, and get started!

About 15 minutes after this book arrived, my 10 year old had raided her dads tool box and garage cupboards for all the duct tape she could find. Of course, she didn't find any tie-dyed or moustache covered versions, but in my opinion until she got the hang of things, using what we already had was a pretty good idea for me.

As I knew she would, because of the beautiful step-by-step directions complete with photos, she got the hang of it right away. As promised, as soon as she could make me something recognizable I would buy her some colorful versions.  I have a feeling tomorrows trip to the store will result in a good long time spent by her making her decision on which ones, exactly she wants.

This book is too cool, and is going to make a great gift for upcoming birthday parties for 10 year olds friends! This book, a couple starter rolls (in fun colors – of course) and bam! Awesome gift for about $20.00 that's unique, keeps them occupied with out needing the TV or computer and doesn't take up space! As a parent, those are the gifts I love the most!!

**Edited to add these awesome pictures of things the 10 year old has made!

This is the baggie craft, though 10 did her own thing with it. She's planning to use them for school to hold things in her back pack!

Here's the tassel, she's currently looking for a chain to put it on – and even made an extra for me so we have best friends necklaces…adorbs!

And then she made the wallet – it's really sturdy and totally cute! This book is so much fun, we're off to get more duct tape today!!!
