Abby Barnes had a plan. The Plan. She'd go to Northwestern, major in journalism, and land a job at a national newspaper, all before she turned twenty-two. But one tiny choice—taking a drama class her senior year of high school—changed all that. Now, on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, Abby is stuck on a Hollywood movie set, miles from where she wants to be, wishing she could rewind her life. The next morning, she's in a dorm room at Yale, with no memory of how she got there. Overnight, it's as if her past has been rewritten.

With the help of Caitlin, her science-savvy BFF, Abby discovers that this new reality is the result of a cosmic collision of parallel universes that has Abby living an alternate version of her life. And not only that: Abby's life changes every time her parallel self makes a new choice. Meanwhile, her parallel is living out Abby's senior year of high school and falling for someone Abby's never even met.

As she struggles to navigate her ever-shifting existence, forced to live out the consequences of a path she didn't choose, Abby must let go of the Plan and learn to focus on the present, without losing sight of who she is, the boy who might just be her soul mate, and the destiny that's finally within reach.

This was an interesting book to read. It was a young adult science fiction with contemporary romance mixed in.  Honestly I thought I was going to be slow but it was not. It captivated my attention the entire time and I had to know what was going to happen with Abby.  Was Abby going to find her soulmate??

Abby has choices here and there along with the parallel's world too. The two stories takes place by a year apart, 2008 and 2009.  The choices do not always go the way Abby wants them to.  She is afraid she will not get to where she wants to be for school  since she wants to major in journalism.  Plus there is the aspect of her love life and friendship mentioned in this story too.   She tries to fix everything to best to her knowledge!  Will she find her path and let things fall where they may ?

This book just took me a roller coaster!  One moment I'm rooting for Abby and then the next something else happens and my brain is telling me this cannot happen to Abby. I am bombed with emotions all over the place.  I was up and down in a good way.   Keeping track of what was going on was a bit tricky but it flowed rather nicely. It was different and I enjoyed it!

It does feel like a smart book because it does talk a bit of science aspect in the  matters of physics and parallel multiverse theories.  It's kind of interesting to read. It will not give you a headache and you will be able to understand it.  One thing that I liked  was when Josh talks about stars.  From page 133 :  "Two stars orbiting around the same center of gravity," he explains.  "All double stars are pretty cool, but this particular one is especially cool because of its colors.  Albireo A is a bright gold and Albireo B is sapphire."   I thought this was so cool to learn for myself and for Abby.  Josh takes the time to explain to  Abby about the story behind the two stars as it is mentioned in the book which ties in with the book.

If you like books with the combination of free will and destiny, then you should read this!  Go get it.  Plus the cover is absolutely cool.  Hope you put it on your list to read.
