Can you give one guy your heart and another your soul?

The last thing eighteen-year-old Breena Cross needs in her life is more complications. It’s all she can do to balance studying, working, trying to keep her foster-sister safe and drooling over the new guy at work. But things go from complicated to crazy when a fit of rage ignites the dark magic inside her and she finds herself fending off the supernatural underworld.

Myles, Breena’s drool-worthy coworker and vampire convict, is carrying a load of secrets--one of which is that he’s fang-over-lip in love with Breena and in danger of violating the terms of his sentence.

Orin is a soul-hungry assassin sent to kill Breena. However, he takes one look into her eyes and sees his own lost humanity. For once thinking of someone other than himself, he chooses not to end her life, even though it means risking his own.

Despite a convict and an assassin fighting over her, all Breena wants is custody of her sister. But to do this, she will need help from both Myles and Orin. And if Breena doesn’t learn to control the darkness within, she could lose her sister…forever.

I received this book and downloaded it onto my iPad although I managed to read it on my iPhone instead since my children wanted my iPad all the time.  I could not put my iPhone down!  Good thing I can multi task with my iPhone.   Anyways, this story was amazing. The story had me excited, happy, sad and a yearning desire of what was going to happen  to Breena!  What, who and why did this happen to Breena?  So many twists and turns in this story that once you got it figured out, something else happens which I loved. It never ends.

There is quite a few of supernatural elements in this story. Vampires, witches, werewolves and Preternaturals, oh my!  When Breena learns of this world, she thought it was a joke but then once it was real, she was shocked and it  took her time to let it all sink in.  One thing after another happens as Breena literally fends for herself and Jenny in the world of the supernatural to survive.  The action never stops and leaves you in a desire of rooting for the good guys!

The two guys that Breena has major crushes on is Orin and Myles.  Orin is the new guy that pops up out of the blue considering he's an assassin and just something about him sparks with Breena. He literally turns himself around just for Breena.   Myles has been more constant guy in her life which I think is what she needs.  The attraction is there with Myles and Breena but does either one of them act on it?  Both guys are attractive, giving off the bad boy vibe (considering they are both supernatural) and both are attracted to Breena no matter what.   I do not know who I would choose, I'm glad I'm not in this situation.

Other than the romance about in the book, Breena is also very protective of Jenny who is her little foster sister.  There's quite a adventure on that aspect as well.  I love the dialogue between Jenny and Breena since it's their own thing.  They fit each other so well for sisters.

I'm not giving away the whole thing because it is THAT good to read, in my opinion!  You'll have to go get the book and see for yourself. The ending of the book left me wanting more and I look forward to the sequel!  What is going to happen next?  What about Breena? Jenny? Myles? Orin?  Will there be more supernatural elements coming their way?   Go pick up today!
