Will love conquer all?

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.

FINALE is a great finale to the Hush, Hush saga. While the series never quite made it to love status, it was fun and entertaining from beginning to end. It won’t blow you away with its’ amazingness (yes, I totally just made up that word) but it’s a series that you know you can always count on.

SILENCE ended with major trouble brewing for Nora and company. Honestly, when I sat SILENCE down I had no idea how they could possibly get out of all that mess. Of course, Fitzpatrick knew exactly how to in a way that was both fulfilling and believable.

I really like that Nora was able to finally understand the Nephilim’s side of things. It made Nora’s decisions that much more difficult. Nora is stuck between choosing to do what is right and choosing to stick with Patch.

Nora and Patch’s relationship definitely has some ups and downs in FINALE. Patch and Nora both really care for one another but now they are literally mortal enemies. Both face difficult choices and must decide who they can and can’t live without and who’s side they are really on.

FINALE had several things I didn’t see coming. It’s always fun with an author throws you a couple of curve balls. You think you know how things are going to end and then BAM! You get hit in the face!

Also, be sure to have your tissues ready because if you have a heart you will cry. There is a pretty major death so prepare yourselves! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

The narrator did grow on me in this book and I didn’t mind her quite as much. She’s still not my favorite but she wasn’t too bad.

The ending of FINALE gives readers a nice resolution. I loved that Fitzpatrick chose to skip ahead a few years in the Epilogue. I felt that gave readers a little bit more closure. However, I did think that there was a question that should have been answered a little better. That’s the whole thing about whether how if a Nephilim doesn’t swear fealty how they age. All that was said was that they didn’t know because it had never happened before. Other than that I thought FINALE was a great conclusion to a great series.

  1. This is so spot on. That book pissed me off and saying the ending sucked balls is an under statement.
