Awkward in his own skin, shy around girls and worried about anything and everything, Jason Evans is just like a million other teenage boys in high school, with one very large exception: he has been given a gift that allows him to jump through time. A set of stones has fallen into his lap that gives him access to any place - and any time - that he chooses. But along with that gift comes the responsibility of stopping the man who is using those very stones to travel through time and change history for his own purposes. A man who is now holding Jason's grandfather hostage, and threatening the world's very existence. Jumping through time with his best friend and body guard, Jason must enter the world of Medieval England, learn its customs, navigate unimaginable danger, and help Henry VII win the Battle of Bosworth, in the name of finding his grandfather, rescuing a beautiful girl from the clutches of a corrupt church, and destroying the one man who pledges to turn history inside out.

I could not put this book down.  At first the  few couple of pages didn't hold my interest that much until I reached to where the main characterJason pops up.  Immediately I was glued to the story and wanted to know when and where of Jason's journey begins!  How was he going to get involved?   I loved how the author includes a journal in this story.

Jason was the type of kid that was either picked on or ignored in high school.   He always wanted something to happen with his life and his wish gets granted.  He finds a great strength on his journey with time travel of the black stones.  I love how Jason's thoughts are written in the story.  I felt like I was in the story!  Jason is the type of guy that does have his wits about him.

The other characters that join in this story is Jason's friend Paul who has such a wonderful sense of humor at inappropriate times.  I loved this!  This is what a friend does to keep things mellowed out.  Another interesting character is a man named Reis who ends up being Jason's bodyguard who is hired by Doc, Jason's Grandfather.  I found Reis to be a man of mystery since we do not know that much information about him except he is quite the expert in weapons and battle strategy.    Then there's Tatiana's who comes along on the journey  as she is quite full of herself and holds a grudge against her father who is named Dresden and is the culprit of trying to change history.

The plot leaves you on your seat wanting to know what will happen. There is always twists and turn, when you think they are in the clear, something else happens!  There's sneaky figures, explosions, fighting, adventure and always on the go.   Since Dresen is the bad guy, there is danger from him but there is also  danger from medieval time period as well.   You could be accused of witchcraft or worse and then put to the death. There is always something  in this story keep your attention  focused on the characters and adventure.

Pick this book up today and you won't regret it.  It's a wonderful adventure of time travel with amazing detail for history!  The author did an amazing job with it.  You will want to root for Jason and his group.  I'm not trying to give away the whole thing because there are such amazing, thrilling points in the book!
