Ethan Cover

Brightest Kind of Darkness 0.5
Author: P.T. Michelle
Release Date: January 11, 2013
Rating: 5 Birds

Ethan Harris never thought monsters and darkness would consume his daily thoughts, but every night the same visions repeat in his dreams. He’s careful to project a semblance of normalcy, keeping the suffocating darkness locked inside. As much as he wishes he could focus on girls, sports, and cars like other seventeen-year-olds; nothing distracts him from his own demons or shines through.
Until Nara Collins crosses his path. The blonde fascinates and intrigues him, giving him a measure of peace he’s never felt before.
When Ethan discovers there’s more to Nara than she allows others to see, that she might have a unique secret of her own, suddenly his world comes into focus.
Note: Ethan is a novella PREQUEL to Brightest Kind of Darkness. This story will give some of Ethan’s background and lead up until the day he tells Nara there’s a bomb in the school.

I was lucky enough to be able to review this book and I can tell you all that I enjoyed it as much as the other books in the series. ETHAN is a prequel done right. I have read prequels, watched prequels and there is something always missing and this book does not have that problem. Perhaps because there is not a big period of time that this covers so we as readers aren’t seeing Ethan as a child or anything but rather just a few weeks before he meets Nara.

Michelle once again does a wonderful job of making us all want an Ethan in our lives, all dark, sexy and brooding. Of course since he and Nara aren’t a couple yet there is none of the hotness that LUCID, the second book in the series, had but the devotion is there from the beginning erasing any doubt there could have been regarding his feelings for Nara.

At the end of March the final book of the series will be released titled DESTINY and I am so ready and not so ready to read because it is the end of the BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS.

I highly suggest you all grab this book and the rest in the series and read or reread in preparation for the final installment. Happy Reading.

  1. Thank you for the awesome review of ETHAN, Yvette! And maaaybe you won't have to be sad. There just might be one more book in the BKoD series. :)

  2. That would be great! I am crossing my fingers
