I HUNT KILLERS by Barry Lyga: Son of a serial killer, action, blood, suspense. Hell Yea!

IF I LIE by Corrine Jackson: Cried my flipping eyes out. So good!

WHAT’S LEFT OF ME by Kat Zhang: Biggest surprise for me this year, thought it would be a bit complicated and busy, wound up begging for more!

PARTIALS by Dan Wells: Dystopian Science Fiction, amazing! That is all.

TEN by Gretchen McNeil: Scared the shit out of me, and kept me guessing!

AMBER’S MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF 2013

This one was hard, there are so very many that I am looking forward to reading.

EVERBOUND (Everneath #2) Brodi Ashton – I was an emotional wreck for days after this first book. I can not wait to dive into the second!

SEVER (The Chemical Gardens #3) by Lauren DeStefano – The end of this fantastic trilogy, I can’t see how she wraps it all up!!

A TOUCH MENACING (A Touch Trilogy #3) by Leah Clifford – Who’s going to live, who’s going to die. In the world Clifford creates, only one things for certain: No one is safe. The final chapter in this series – I can’t wait and I can all at the same time!

SHADOWS IN THE SILENCE (Angelfire #3) by Courtney Alison Moulton – Sweet God another one of my beloved series coming to an end. Can Ellie save the one she loves? *bites nails*

SHADOW OF THE MARK (Carrier of the Mark #2) by Leigh Fallon – the second in this series, and I feel like it has been 10 years since the first came out. I  must really want this one bad!

Well, OBVIOUSLY the InsaniTEA Party Leah Clifford had for the release of A TOUCH MORBID in March. I got to meet the Az, look a like (see above) the fantabulous Clay, and just have a general awesome time getting all dressed up!

And of course meeting John Barrowman and his sister Carole E. Barrowman who wrote Hallow Earth and, OHBYTHEWAY he’s Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor FREAKING Who!

Okay…so there’s just a few….

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: City of Bones – Even though I don’t think that Jamie makes a good Jace, boy needs to eat a cheesburger….stand.

THE HUNGER GAMES: Catching Fire – Gimmie Finnik and no one gets hurt….

CARRIE – A remake staring Chloe Grace Mortez, hell yea!

WARM BODIES – Have you seen this trailer? I CAN’T WAIT!!!

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES – I have NOT read this book, but the movie has made me want to and I do totally plan to before going to see the movie. It’s the rules after all…

THE HOST – I’m looking forward to this because, well I tried 3 times to read the book and each time never passed page 75….so I’m hoping that by breaking my “read the book before the movie” rule, I might find out what all the hub-bub is about this one.

Check out tomorrow, when Santa brings you another yearly recap!

  1. 1. I didn't realize Moretz is in the new Carrie.

    2. I didn't realize that Warm Bodies was based on a book, though I shouldn't be surprised. That trailer was awesome!

Both are good omens to me :)

  2. I am so excited for Warm Bodies! The book was hilarious and amazing at the same time, and the trailer makes me laugh. GAH and Finnick is so pretty. Beautiful Creatures is as gorgeous as its book cover; definitely read it before the movie comes out!
