{25 Things} Introducing…

I’m a big magazine reader. Okay, so I read People and US and that’s about it, but I love them and I read them often.

In US Magazine one of my favorite features is something called 25 Things You Might Not Know About Me. It’s as straight forward as it sounds: a celeb tells you 25 things you might not know about them. Some are odd, some hilarious, some serious…but it’s 25 things none the less and I a GREAT way to get to know someone better.

After reading them, and LOVNG them for months and months, I thought why not do this  25 Things for authors? With their feature as my inspiration (no copyright infringement intended here! All credit to the idea to US!) I’m launching my own 25 Things!

I mean seriously, after the 14 billionith time of answering “Where did you get your idea” and “What’s your writing schedule like”, they have to be ready to pull out some hair.

I took a chance, I sent out some invites, and man was it received well – I’m booked out until April 2013 already, with some scheduled as far out as August 2013! (YA and MG Authors, want in? e-mail me at meandmyshelf (at) gmail (dot) com SUBJECT: 25 Things)

To get things started I’m going to tell you 25 Things You Might Not Know About Me. I know, I’m not an author (yet!!!) but this will help give you an idea of what to expect EVERY THURSDAY from here on out! I’ll feature the other members of my team through out the year as well, just for funsies!

  1. Haha, this is awesome! I just played Phase 10 with my family a couple of days ago! It's such a fun game :) And I'm so jealous you were in D2 Mighty Ducks! Those movies are so awesome!! Thanks for sharing :)

    -Jessica (Peace Love Books)

  2. This is great! Dude, Jackson Rathbone kissed you??? You were in a movie?? Wow. This was just so much fun! Thank you for sharing!

    ~Sara @ Forever 17 Books

    1. Both those things sound way cooler than they really are! LOL. You can see me, for about 8 seconds...if you're looking....really hard....and pause it when I pop up! LOL!

And the Jackson thing, it wasn't a make out session - I am married after all...just a sweet southern gentlemen's kiss good bye.

  3. Wow! I love this! So awesome! Also, your 25 things are super cool!

  4. Lol. You do understand that unless you visited Newfoundland before 1949, it is not considered a country on its own right? And even then it still wasn't considered a country, but a Dominion of the British Empire.

    Nice list!

    1. I was there in 1948 - KIDDING! Geography was never my strong suit, and in the 20 years I have told people that exact line you are the first to correct me. I do thank you, now I won't have to continue to make a fool of myself. Well, except for on here since I can't really change that now, easily.

    2. Lol. No worries, most of us in Canada think it's a whole different country anyway :)
