We are proud to be on the Living Violet blog tour put on by The {Teen} Book Scene as the 14th stop with a review. Please stop back on the 14th of January for a Multi-Character Interview as well!

Let me start off by saying that Samara Marshall is my favorite kind of character! Funny, snarky and quick witted! She really shines and makes this book all the more better! Seriously, I giggled, and even stored some comments away for personal use…lol.

Another high point for me, as I tend to see this all the time and I tire of it so quickly is – THERE IS NO LOVE TRIANGLE IN THIS! Weeee! Okay, it’s not like I don’t like books with them, it just seems that every single books has one in some fashion. The lack of one in Living Violet is really refreshing, and shows me how strong of a writer Jaime Reed is to have a full, intriguing story with twists and suspense with out needing the added help of tossing in the love triangle. *Up Top Jaime! High Fives for you!*

Living Violet is a fantastic start to a series, I can promise you I will review the rest of. A nice NEW paranormal book that had elements to it I wasn’t expecting and had not yet seen. In a world where almost every angle has been covered for Paranormal books, this was better than great.

Character development was amazing, I never felt I was losing anyone, even the smaller, secondary characters. Almost all of which carried the same upbeat and sarcastic personality of Samara with out being redundant or over used.

If you got any cash or gift cards to a book store for the holidays I suggest popping in and picking up Living Violet! Worth the read and you won’t be disappointed!
