Weaving Destiny
The Soulkeepers Book 2
Author: G.P. Ching
Pages: 220
Release Date: August 29th 2011
Publisher: DarkSide Publishing
Rating: 5 Birds.

Malini Gupta thought Jacob Lau was her destiny. But after months of failing to decipher how she fits into the Soulkeepers, frustration threatens to tear their relationship apart. And it doesn't help that a new Soulkeeper named Mara is ready to stop time itself to earn Jacob's love.
When Malini faces her worst fears, and even death, she learns a funny thing about destiny. Fate is a tapestry of choices, and she has the power to weave hers.

Weaving Destiny is even better then the first book in the series, The Soulkeepers! (which I gave 4 birds if you will recall) GP Ching really shows off her amazing ability to weave (no pun in tended) the complex worlds of fantasy and reality almost effortlessly with in the covers of her second novel.

You will pick up right where you left off with Soulkeepers, with all the great character's you met the first time, and even get a few new ones that add excitement and drama in all the right places.

Told from Malini’s point of view (see her on the cover!? Beautiful!) you will get to see her journey full on in this world of Soulkeepers and watch as she learns her true role among them. Sprinkle in some relationship drama, some teenaged angst brought with a new character and a vision quest and you have a superb book!

5 Birds for Weaving Destiny! All around this is a fantastic read! A lot faster then the first, and nearly 100 pages smaller. Where I felt that The Soulkeepers may have been a bit overly descriptive, Weaving Destiny has a perfect balance and to me this shows a growth for GP in her writing that leads me to wonder – what will her next book be like if they just keep getting better and better?

  1. Well done! I feel the exact same way about the advancement of Gen's novels. I am super excited about Return to Eden!
