Leena Thomas's senior year at boarding school begins with a shock: Frost House, her cozy dorm of close friends, has been assigned an unexpected roommate -- confrontational, eccentric Celeste Lazar. But while Leena's anxiety about a threat to her sanctuary proves valid, it becomes less and less clear whether the threat lies with her new roommate, within Leena's own mind, or within the very nature of Frost House itself. Mysterious happenings in the dorm, an intense triangle between Leena, Celeste, and Celeste's brother, and the reawakening of childhood fears, all push Leena to take increasingly desperate measures to feel safe. FROST is the story of a haunting. As to whether the demons are supernatural or psychological...well, which answer would let you sleep at night?
I was so excited to receive Frost, I really love Psychological Thrillers with Paranormal twists! Frost really delivered and I was taken in almost immediately.
Imagine if you will, a haunted boarding school house, a weird room mate with a hot brother, voices, weird happenings and all around spine tingling, page turning greatness.
Leena is in her senior year at Barcroft Academy and has some baggage, to say the least. A rather rocky family life and a possible addiction to pain pills has left her susceptible to the dose of “crazy” she’s going to face in Frost House.
She’s excited none the less because the housing lottery has [placed her and She her 3 best friends in Frost House for the final year. What could be better then just the 4 of them together, in a home of their own?
One catch, she needs to live with a weird-o roommate for one semester until her actual room mate gets back from studying abroad. Plus side, this room mate has a hot brother she just might be falling for.
The house seems to want Leena, calls to her. She doesn’t particularly believe in this kind of thing and figures the weirdness in the house is simply due to her bug, collecting, goth room mate.
I read Frost in hours and loved it. Well built character's with depth to them and a beautifully and sometimes freaky setting that is immaculately described really made for a great read! I’m giving it 4 birds and suggest you add this to your TBR list! Weather or not you read it at night while home alone or not, well that’s your decision..
